Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar Tantalum Only Watch 2021
Bvlgari will be participating for the first time in the Only Watch auction in Geneva on Saturday, 6 November 2021. Held every two years, Only Watch auctions unique timepieces to fund research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The watch Bvlgari will be donating is an exceptional version of its Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar. Released earlier this year, the Octo Finissimo is the world's thinnest QP and marks Bvlgari's seventh record in the arena of ultra-thin watches. To mark the occasion, the 2.75mm thin automatic QP movement is housed in a 5.80mm case made of rare tantalum, a beguiling metal that is resistant to corrosion, biocompatible, twice as heavy as steel and twice as hard as titanium.Bvlgari's 7 ultra-thin record breakersIt might be Olympic season, but nothing can eclipse the seven gold medals Bvlgari has taken home for its ultra-thin Octo Finissimo watches since 2014. Ultra-thin movements, considered an art in themselves, are devilishly difficult to create and mastered by ju
Introcuding - The 2021 Editions of The Patek Philippe Twenty~4 Automatic
Patek Philippe introduces two new automatic models in its recently revamped Twenty~4 women's collection. In 2018, Patek Philippe overhauled its Twenty~4 collection from head to toe. Introducing 36mm round cases to sit alongside its rectangular-shaped siblings, the feature that thrilled many of us was the inclusion of a mechanical movement. More in line with Patek's tradition of exquisitely crafted watches inside and out, the long-overdue upgrade from quartz to mechanical was finally addressed in the Twenty~4 family with the incorporation of Patek's 324 S C movement. Patek's proposal of an everyday watch for women, the new arrivals are a steel model with a green dial and a rose gold model with a matching gilded sunburst dial, both with a double row of diamonds on the bezel. From complications to ready-to-wearIt would be wrong to assume that?Patek Philippe?is?Switzerland's finest producer of men's watches: it has been and still is Switzerland's finest producer of both men's?and women's wa

Hands-On 2021 Norqain Freedom 60 GMT Editions - Specs & Price
Founded in 2018, the family-run brand Norqain might be a fledgeling brand on the Swiss watchmaking scene, but in just three years, it has consolidated a respectable collection of watches designed for rugged outdoor activities. What is even more surprising for such a young brand is that since 2020 Norqain avails itself of COSC-certified movements made by Kenissi, manufacture jointly owned by Chanel and Tudor/ . The two Norqain Freedom 60 GMT launching today are fitted with robust Kenissi manufacture calibres. The reference to 60' in the name of the watch alludes to the overall 1960s vibe of the design. Last year, the first Freedom 60 GMT models were launched; in steel with a black dial and a 300-piece limited edition in bronze with a brown dial. As part of the Freedom family with its line-up of retro/sporty models, Ben Kuffer, the brand's CEO, listened closely to customer feedback and decided to produce the GMT models with a 40mm case size.Dual TimeThe latest Freedom 60 GMTs come in a c
A Set Of Unique Ra¨²l Pages Regulateura Detente RP1s With Dials By Master Enameller Anita Porchet - Monochrome Watches
When two masters of their respective crafts meet, it’s very likely greatness will ensue. However, while masters may strengthen each other, it’s difficult to find common ground when crafts might seem at odds. Despite this, a positive and uniquely intriguing outcome is still a possibility. Such is the case with the collaboration of Ra¨²l Pages, the esteemed independent watchmaker, and Anita Porchet, a true master enamelled. Even though the two are long-time friends, it wasn’t until now that they worked on a shared project, which happens to be a uniquely coloured trio of Pages’ brilliant Regulateura Detente.Ra¨²l Pages was recently awarded the 2024 Louis Vuitton Prize for Independent Creatives, for his work on the stupendous Regulatuera Detente. Louis Vuitton is also deeply connected with the work of Anita Porchet, who has decorated many of the watches by the design house over the years.
