Longines' L33804166 Conquest Quartz Moonphase Ladies 30 mm tells all by its name. The entire timepiece is drenched in white matt, from the dial to the bezel, to the bracelet. The dial, apart from the Arabic numerals and rectangular bars serving as hour markers, and a small window at 3 o' clock serving the date of the month, also houses a small moon phase window right above 6 o' clock marker. With triple safety folding clasp along with a push-piece opening mechanism, the timepiece also offers scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside.

Industry Audemars Piguet Tests E-Commerce In China with A Pop-Up Boutique on JD.com
It is no secret that the future of retail is online. This goes for?most consumer goods but this has also started to affect the luxury world, which includes watches. After several Richemont brands entering e-commerce together with Net-a-Porter and Mister Porter (think IWC later followed by other members of the Group), it’s now time for Audemars Piguet to start testing such retail processes, yet in a non-conservative and unprecedented manner, as the high-end watchmaker has just started to test E-Commerce in China with a pop-up boutique on JD.com.While the European and American markets are still rather conservative in the way watches are sold to clients, who still rely on physical point-of-sale, the Chinese market has demonstrated to be much more mature when it comes to online shopping, mainly due to the innovative spirit of two e-commerce giants: Alibaba and JD.com. Both have recently launched luxury portals – Luxury Pavillon for Alibaba and TopLife for JD.com – on whic
First Look: The new Sand Gold AP Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon 38mm
Marking a first for the recently introduced 38mm iteration of Code 11.59, Audemars Piguet equips its most compact reference with an automatic flying tourbillon. Not just any tourbillon, mind you, but AP's ultra-thin calibre 2968, aka RD#3. Representing the best of both worlds, the new Code 11.59 Tourbillon fuses a state-of-the-art movement with a graceful sand gold case sparkling with diamonds.Tourbillon complications were relatively rare in Audemars Piguet's historical repertoire until 1986 when it launched the calibre 2870, the world's first automatic serially produced tourbillon. One of the lightest of its kind thanks to its titanium cage, calibre 2870 weighed just 0.123g and was also one of the thinnest (4.8mm) until it was surpassed by Bulgari's Octo Finissimo in 2018.The 2023 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Extra-Thin RD#3, fitted with the calibre 2968Celebrating the Royal Oak's 50th anniversary in 2022, AP produced an automatic flying tourbillon to fit in
Industry The Geneva Watch Days Returns in August 2021
The global pandemic that hit the world in 2020 has had a massive impact on the watch industry, be it production, sales and obviously, events. Due to the sanitary situation, the two major fairs of the year, Watches & Wonders and Baselworld, had to be cancelled – at least the physical editions – leading the press and retailers to attend only digital presentations. The Geneva Watch Days event was the one notable exception, which took place in August last year. Following the success of the 2020 edition, the founding watch brands are staging the event in Geneva again this year, with the 2021 Geneva Watch Days scheduled from 30th August to 3rd September.?Watches & Wonders 2021 – the major watch fair (and the only fair that survived) – was staged again this year in a digital format. Thankfully there will be a real, partially physical event in August with the return of Geneva Watch Days. Created by a group of brands, on the initiative of Bvlgari's CEO Jean-Chris
Introducing New Omega De Ville Prestige Models for 2020 (Price)
There’s far more to Omega than just its iconic sports watches, the well-known Speedmaster and Seamaster. Even though the brand has slightly simplified its offering over the years, two other collections, both focused on elegance, need to be mentioned. First is the Constellation, timepieces inspired by the brand’s precision models of the past. Second is the De Ville, which can be defined as the brand’s classic, elegant collection, including ladies’ models and sleek, refined watches for men. Today, the timeless, slightly 1960s-inspired De Ville Prestige collection is enlarged with 5 new references, which come with redesigned dials and a luxurious combination of materials.?The De Ville Prestige is Omega’s collection for those who want something classic, elegant and restrained. Proportions are compact, dials are detailed, refined yet timeless, movements are relatively simple but still in line with Omega’s devotion to precision and reliability. The De Vill
A Letter From The Editor - Monochrome Watches
It’s been a pleasure to see the number of readers increase every month and I always enjoy your emails, responses and reactions through all our social media channels. Thank you for that! Since Monochrome has started, back in 2006, it has been a thrill to see Monochrome grow to become one of the defining blogs (or online magazines) about watches. And as you know, we focus mainly on (ultra) Haute Horlogerie and Independent Watchmaking. My latest acquisition perfectly fits the bill. It is a vintage Patek Calatrava ref. 3484 that I bought it for a special occasion. Read on to find out what that special occasion was and to read more news about Monochrome.I have been looking to get a dot.com ever since the beginning, however the owner of monochrome.com didn’t want to relinquish that domain. So the search went on and in a few weeks we’ll be migrating monochrome-watches.com to monochrome-watches.com. And there will be more, like a new video page, a web shop, loads of reviews (
