The A. Lange & Sohne Grand Complication marks the Beginning of a New Era for the Brand - Monochrome Watches
A Grand Complication is, exactly as the name indicates, a GRAND complication. Not many brands can say that they have a Grand Complication in the collection and when counting there are really just a few of the oldest and most admirable watch brands that do. Of course there are the three ‘Grande Dames’ of the Haute Horlogerie, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet. Also brands like Blancpain, Breguet, IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre are among the few who have at least one Grand Complication in the collection. Since this year, A. Lange & Sohne introduced their first Grand Complication that is also the most complicated German watch ever created. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Funky Colors - Review, Specs & Price
The summer is here. That means our thoughts turn to the seaside, sunshine, heatwave, mojitos, yacht deck, beach parties… and of course, what watch to wear this summer? You probably don’t want to take your treasured extra-flat, gold perpetual calendar watch out there. So, you’d likely be leaning towards some kind of dive watch, as it would be the best option, both to look classy, and to be able to jump in the pool without having to think about your watch. You’re on the right direction. But do you want to be part of this growing group of Submariner wearers? Maybe not, and thus, Audemars Piguet might have a pleasant and bold option for you, with the new Royal Oak Offshore Diver Funky Colors.BackgroundFirst of all, to understand the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Funky Colors 2017 Collection, we have to reflect on some of the watches that compose the Royal Oak Offshore – or ROO – collection (a collection born in 1992, as a sportier and bold
Hands-On - The Blue IWC Pilots Watch Automatic Laureus IWC328101
Last year IWC Schaffhausen unveiled its 15th special edition for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation with a watch taken from its popular Pilot's watch collection. The straightforward time-and-date pilot's model marked the occasion by flying the colours of the charitable organisation, which advocates sport as a means of transforming children and young people's lives. Following in the footsteps of watches like the Portugieser Monopusher Chronograph and the Portofino Automatic Moon Phase, the Pilot's Watch of 2021 is decked out in the trademark dark blue colour of the foundation. However, instead of just producing a blue dial, the brand went one step further and produced the first blue ceramic case for its Laureus special editions. With its relatively compact dimensions, resilient ceramic shell, instrumental and legible pilot’s dial coupled with a five-day power reserve, the IWC Pilot's Watch Automatic Laureus Sport for Good IW328101?is a perfect daily beater with IWC's bona fide
Introducing: The Denim-Toned Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980G
One trend that has asserted itself at Patek Philippe this year is denim, or rather, the colour of blue jeans, appearing on the dials and straps of several novelties, like the Worldtime with Date and Aquanaut Travel Time. A much sought-after model, the Nautilus Flyback Chronograph 5980, was discontinued earlier this year. Much to the delight of collectors, Patek introduces a white gold version of the Nautilus Chronograph 5980G with a casual denim-textured strap and a matching denim-coloured dial.Launched in 1976, the Nautilus is part of the famous holy trinity of luxury sports watches. In 2006, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Gerald Genta's winning design for Patek, the Nautilus was fitted with an in-house chronograph complication (reference 5980/1A). 2021 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Automatic Collection Review
Following updates in several collections in recent years, with revamped Carrera and Monaco lines, TAG Heuer is ready to present its updated Aquaracer 300 collection. More refined yet still very recognisable, the new range has been fully revamped without losing its DNA. Taking a look at its origins, which can be traced back to the 2000-series from the early 1980s, we go hands-on with the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic collection.BackgroundThe TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300 collection can trace its roots back to the ref. 844 of 1978 (more on that in another article, with something cool to come) and the Heuer 2000, introduced in 1982. This versatile dive watch, when the company was still just Heuer, was the successor to the 1000 series. The Heuer 2000 collection was available in quartz and automatic versions and proved immensely popular, spawning all sorts of varieties. Models ranged from simple, three-handed quartz watches to a chronometer version and everything in
