Chopard L.U.C Flying T Twin - Monochrome Watches
Countdown mode for Baselworld 2019 has commenced and Chopard presents its first flying tourbillon combined with an automatic movement on board the elegant rose gold L.U.C. Flying T Twin. The ultra-thin case is made from Fairmined gold and houses an even thinner automatic movement based on Chopard's very first manufacture movement. Decorated with a sophisticated hand-guilloche dial, the watch is chronometer-certified and bears the Poin?on de Geneve seal of quality. Collectors be warned, this is a limited edition of just 50 pieces.Ultra-thin Fairmined Gold CaseFor many gentlemen, the case of the L.U.C Flying T Twin flaunts perfect proportions. Crafted from 18k rose gold, the case measures 40mm in diameter and has an ultra-thin profile of just 7.2mm.? That is actually 0.4mm thinner than the pre-Baselworld 2019 L.U.C XPS Twist watch we reviewed recently, and exactly the same height as the L.U.C XPS 1860, but with a flying tourbillon to boot. The Collector's Series - Watch journalist Tomasz Kieltyka and his Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days PAM00560 - Monochrome-Watches
It's been three months since we started our voyage to circle the globe in search of collectors and their stories. Amazingly it is only until this week that we came across a Panerai owner. It was in Poland when we met Tomasz Kie?tyka, the founder and other half of Chronos24.pl (we first met with Luckasz and his Tudor Heritage Chrono). He's a watch insider and a fine collector – and here is the story of his Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days PAM00560 and his journey through watches.Tomasz was born the same year as Some Girls album by The Rolling Stones. He was destined to be an electrical engineer, but life had other plans. Following a period at a creative advertising agency, he then founded Chronos24.pl. He started the website as a means of expressing his passion for watchmaking rather than a purely commercial proposition. I believe it was the idea that by building a successful platform from which he could discuss his passion, that it would free up his spare time and allow him to find pi
Introducing the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 40mm Now Full Gold-Coloured
The Tissot PRX… A never-ending story, with one variation following another. The brand’s catalogue is now a collection comprising no fewer than 38 references, including quartz and automatic models, time-only or chronograph versions, in either 35mm or 40mm, on steel bracelets, leather or rubber straps. And then, there are the colours, ranging from classic black or blue to a cool ice blue dial. Until a couple of days ago, the collection comprised 37 references and a new one was just added. Using the familiar look that we discovered only two weeks ago, the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 40mm is now available in full gold-coated attire, a statement piece that uses this warm colour for its case, bracelet and dial.?While most of us will certainly picture the Tissot PRX as a full steel watch worn on a matching bracelet – this is how, according to us, the design makes the most sense – Tissot has long decided to offer variations. This includes watches with a leather or a rubber
