Offering the best of its creations, Panerai has won the versatility in the market for watches with this one. It comes in two versions; one is in steel and the other one in red gold. The red gold one is made of 5NPT and has a high percentage of copper and some platinum, which prevents metal from oxidizing, so the watch keeps a fresh look. The steel version is water-resistant too.

Two Celebratory Watches For Moritz Grossmann's 15th Anniversary
Whenever birthdays or anniversaries are celebrated, brands like to go the extra mile in creating something truly cool or special. These celebratory pieces can become icons in their own right, as they often have special features, unique materials or never-to-be-repeated colour combinations. Omega has done it with the Seamaster, Audemars Piguet with the Royal Oak Offshore, and Patek Philippe even celebrates the birthday of its former president, Mr Philippe Stern. But for now, the focus shifts towards Glashutte, as Moritz Grossmann is dead-set on going out with a bang in its 15th anniversary year as a Manufacture. And the brand is bringing a couple of gifts, in the form of a unique piece of the gorgeous Tremblage, and a special edition of the evocative Backpage! It might be a touch confusing when it comes to the German high-end watchmaking company Moritz Grossmann’s timeline, but in this case, we’re talking about the present-day brand. The name goes back a lot further than just
Watches and Formula 1 - Episode 6 - McLaren & Richard Mille
McLaren: the winningest (is that a word?) constructor in Formula 1 after Ferrari, the second longest running team in the sport (with a continuous participation since 1966), producer of many memorable cars, host of legendary driver line-ups, and delivering championship contending cars through most of their history. Hitting a dry spell since 2015 though, the team has the resilience to get back on top, although talks of a McLaren-Honda split refuse to go away. As far as their timing partner is concerned though, relations seem much calmer. Richard Mille is a cutting-edge watch manufacturer, using the most advanced technology and exotic materials, and indeed is very similar in many ways to the image of this major F1 team. The story starts with young Bruce McLaren, born in New Zealand, racing a restored and prepared Austin Ulster 7 in an unofficial hill climb in 1952. Despite being only 12 years old, he showed a talent for racing, and only two years later he entered hi
Is the IWC Pilot Automatic Top Gun still the Cool Cat of the Collection? - Monochrome Watches
I strapped the new IWC Pilot Automatic Top Gun around my wrist and started thinking. Is this contemporary, black ceramic interpretation of the world's most famous war watch actually the coolest iteration to date? Is the predecessor of the famous Mark XI now the cool cat of the collection??Understanding IWC's ever-expanding Pilot's collection is an art in itself. The essential differences between Classic', Top Gun' and Spitfire' (not even mentioning the Petit Prince' and Antoine de Saint-Exupery' editions), are not really worth getting into –? the watches are too cool to lose ourselves in those silly details. Let's just start with sorting things out. Both the Classic' and the Top Gun' collections contain tool watches, but the best way to describe the difference is the latter is the first one with a contemporary twist. The Top Guns are a bit more fashionable and a little bit younger. Also, the prices differ. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Bubba Watson wins Golf Tournament wearing a Richard Mille RM038 - Monochrome Watches
Now usually you won’t see these kind of titles on Monochrome, however in this case I wanted to make an exception. The reason for this, is that withstanding the shocks and G-forces that a wrist watch endures during a game of golf, are ‘pretty extreme’.Of course we’re happy for 33 year old Bubba Watson. However Monochrome is not about sharing sports results. Richard Mille’s technical achievement is something Monochrome should report about and we will. The recently released RM055 Bubba Watson can withstand forces of no less than 500G; that’s ‘pretty extreme’. The RM038 tourbillon is able to work in golf's extreme conditions and was designed with 3 major specifications in mind: lightness, extreme shock resis-tance and comfor
