H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Black Golden Edition - Monochrome-Watches
When saw the first pre-Baselworld release of the H. Moser Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Black, we were impressed and felt there would be a huge interest in it within the watch-world. Both the photos and technical specifications attracted us. This feeling was confirmed once we get?our hands on with it during Baselworld.?The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar was one of the few watches that created a real consensus among Monochrome’s editorial team. The brand Schaffausen (alongside IWC) comes now with a new limited edition of its QP, even more precious, the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Black Golden.?H. Moser & Cie knows how to make simple watches complicated, such as the Venturer Small Second, but also how to impart simplicity to a highly complicated timepiece. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar is certainly one of the simplest, if not the simplest QP on the market. It comes with only a few functions on the dial and keeps the reading focused on essential indications:
Baselworld 2015 - Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award (specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
That’s the one we (almost) predicted. We were 90% sure that Omega would come with a new edition of the Snoopy Speedmaster Professional. The one we imagined is however quite far from this new?Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award ref.?311.32.42.30.04.003. Using the iconic Speedy Pro base, it however brings not only a new dial but also several little details that will definitely create a proper?collectible edition. Before we go into what is new in this?Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award, let’s first look at what doesn’t change. The base of this limited edition (1.970 pieces) is THE classical Omega Speedmaster Professional a.k.a Moonwatch, meaning a 42mm chronograph made in both polished and brushed?stainless steel, with a 3-counter layout and using the Omega Calibre 1861. Technically speaking, Omega keeps here the nearly same (and totally superb) recipe since 1965. A Snoopy Award edition of the Speedmaster isn’t either a n
Introducing: Patek Philippe Worldtime with Date 5330G
With a legacy extending over 80 years, including the renowned Cottier watches, Worldtimers stand out as one of Patek Philippe’s quintessential complications. Patek Philippe was the brand to reintroduce this complication in 2000 with the unveiling of the 5110 model. Subsequently, the 5110 was succeeded by the 5130 in 2006, which in turn was replaced by the 5230 in 2016. In 2023, the brand's first worldtimer with date, the reference 5330, was released as a 300-piece limited edition exclusive to Japan with a purple guilloche dial. As could be expected the model now enters the regular collection. It comes in a white gold blue-gray dial combination and on a calfskin strap with a denim pattern. Meet the reference 5330G-001.This new generation of Patek Philippe worldtimer reference 5330G-001 distinguishes itself with a patented world first designed to enhance user experience and comfort: a date display (pointer date) that works in sync with the local time, i.e. that of the time zone sel
Live from SIHH 2019 - Nicolas Baretzki of Montblanc - Monochrome Watches
Nicolas Baretzki, CEO of Montblanc, describes 2019 as a year that “will complete a chapter we started writing in 2015”. Referring to the full integration of Montblanc and Minerva, the brand will be “reworking all the product lines from a Minerva approach”.Focusing on two product lines, the Heritage Collection inspired by Minverva chronographs from the 1940s and 1950s, and the 1858 collection, these are the highlights Baretzki shares with us: Designed to capture the spirit of Minverva’s exploration?watches of the 1920s and 1930s, the 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition features a winning combination of a 42mm bronze case and a khaki dial. Equipped with a world time complication featuring two rotating hemispheres, Baretzki is sure this will be the model to remember from 2019. To consolidate the adventurous spirit of the watch, the rotating bezel is graduated like a compass. The Heritage Collection is vintage to the core and picks up on the sophistication and eleg
introducing: A Trio Of Evocative H Moser & Cie X Bucherer Watches
In the world of luxury watch retailers, Bucherer holds a rather special place. Not only has it been announced that has acquired the well-established watch retailer (the biggest in the world), but it also has a long history of collaborative watches. Always revolving around some kind of blue, these Bucherer limited editions can range from relatively affordable to astronomically expensive. As they share a common theme, though, the result is, more often than not, rather striking. The latest special edition pieces to be released see Bucherer return to the creativity of H. Moser & Cie?for a trilogy of watches based on the Pioneer and Endeavour Concept watches.Pioneer Tourbillon Concept AventurineThe first of the three is perhaps the most sporty of the bunch, although I wouldn’t go on a wild adventure with it. The Pioneer Tourbillon Concept Aventurine is based on a watch we’ve seen earlier this year. The rose gold and black DLC-finished titanium case holds a midnight-blue av
