Weekly Watch Photo - Audemars Piguet Millenary Star Wheel - Monochrome Watches
Again a photo made by GEO, although this time no Cartier. Audemars Piguet made this rare Millenary Star Wheel for the 125th anniversary of the brand and in my opinion one of the most beautiful of this manufacture. It’s almost refreshing to see another timepieces from Audemars Piguet, than the Royal Oak or Royal Oak Offshore collections. Like the Millenary collection, Audemars Piguet does have several more collections that are very appealing and much more elegant than the RO and ROO. Besides the Millenary I also enjoy beautiful esthetics of the Jules Audemars collection and?the Edward Piguet collection (especially the EP chronograph). Earlier I wrote about the Millenary Piano Forte, a
Richemont Appoints Jer?me Lambert as Group CEO and Reports a 25% Increase in Sales at 31/08/2018 - Monochrome Watches
Things are moving again at the Richemont Group, but this time in the right direction. After a few years of hesitation, with massive shake-ups at the head of most brands of the group and the resignation of Kern, and negative results (especially for the 2015-2017 period), the luxury powerhouse seems to be back on track. Today, two important announcements have been made by Richemont. First, a new CEO has been appointed. Second, at its annual general meeting, the Group reports a massive increase in sales (to be nuanced, though). The first piece of news to be released by the Richemont Group concerns the appointment of a new CEO, in the name of Mr Jer?me Lambert. Is this really new news? Not entirely, as Lambert has had an extensive career with the group and his new position feels like the natural development of this true child of the Richemont school.Jerome Lambert, newly appointed CEO of the Richemont Group, used to be CEO of JLC, then Montblanc and finally COO of the Group. After having led
Introducing Chopard L.U.C Flying T Twin White Gold & Blue Dial
Chopard's first L.U.C calibre with a flying tourbillon made its debut at Baselworld 2019 in a rose gold case with a grey dial. The epitome of a contemporary dress watch with a nod to the past, Chopard's ultra-thin flying tourbillon returns this year in an ethical 18k white gold case with a handsome blue guilloche dial in a limited edition run of 50 pieces. Although it exhibits traditional complications like the tourbillon and traditional decorative techniques like guillochage, the L.U.C Flying T Twin does not fall into the category of a traditional' or classical' watch. Rather, it comes across as a remarkably elegant and refined contemporary dress watch powered by a sophisticated ultra-thin movement with a robust power reserve. Like its predecessor, the watch is COSC chronometer-certified and flaunts the prestigious Poin?on de Geneve seal of quality. What’s in a name?Accustomed as we are to brands with watch names that run on for miles, Chopard's collections tend to stick to short

The 5 Coolest TAG Heuer Monaco (50th Anniversary) - Buying Guide
In 1969, Heuer (which would become TAG Heuer) revolutionized the watch industry with two great introductions… First is, of course, the launch of the calibre 11, one of three first automatic chronograph movements ever created. Second was the introduction of a watch that would later become an icon (but that wasn’t that successful back then…) You name it, the Monaco. In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this watch, we’ve selected the five coolest TAG Heuer Monacos you can get.?The TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 “Steve McQueen” CAW211PWhy is it cool??The reason is simple. If the Monaco is famous, it is because back in 1971, Steve “King of Cool” McQueen chose it in the movie Le Mans. The watch he was wearing while racing his Gulf-sponsored Porsche 917 was the original, blue-dial 1133B… And the present TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 CAW211P is a faithful modern re-edition. Same colour, same case shape, same horizontal indexes, a crown
