Luxury Watches |
This Seiko Marine Master Professional 300M is a high-functioning wristwatch. Built with a powerful caliber 7C46, the watch has high tech mechanical movement. The casing is created from a 47 mm stainless steel material that is polished by a refined Dia shield coating in order to keep the scratches at bay. For an enhanced look, the inner casing and the bezel are satin-brushed. A gorgeous black dial with lumibrite hand markers and indexes just add perfectly to the outlooks.

Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer - Full review (live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
Bell & Ross introduced the WW2 collection a couple of years back with their military inspired WW2 Regulateur, known at that time as the Regulateur Bomber. They've dropped that name, for quite obvious reasons I can imagine, now they bring a new edition that is a little more sophisticated than the original: the Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer. Here is the full review after several weeks on the wrist. The first Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur, introduced during Baselworld 2012, was inspired by an old bomb-timer that pilots used to have strapped to their leg. This timing instrument was used to time the release of a bomb as exact as possible to obtain their objectives and destroy their designated targets (these watches are a specific kind of navigation tools. You can read our in-depth history of pilot watches here: part 1 - part 2 - part 3 - part 4 - part 5). No high-tech GPS wizardry or computer guided smart-bombs were available yet so the pilots had to rely on their own basic ins
The Tudor Pelagos 39 (Opinion, Specs & Price)
About a month ago, Tudor dropped a new edition of what is its most hardcore dive watch to date: the Pelagos. First released in 2012, this 42mm titanium watch was designed for action with its 500m WR and helium valve, its ultra-focused design and the use of lightweight, resistant and functional materials. It was followed by an evolution with a manufacture movement, then a rather funky LHD model and recently, a military-issued model, the FXD. All very instrumental tool watches… But now we have the Tudor Pelagos 39,? and since the dust has settled, I wanted to take a second look at the watch. I realised that this watch isn’t just a downsized model… Despite its familiar look, it actually has a rather different purpose.?The FactsLet’s not bother too much with this part. We’ve been there, done that already. The Tudor Pelagos 39 is, on paper at least, a reduced version of the classic Pelagos 42 with a less instrumental edge, or in different words, with a more urb
Tudor Baselworld 2019 - Tudor Predictions 2019 - Tudor Novelties 2019
Following the publication a few days ago of our 2019 Predictions, we keep the tradition alive and now take a closer look at sister company Tudor. We’ve done it already in the past, with our predictions in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and in 2018?– some were pretty accurate, some not so much. This year, however, we had (unintentional) help from Tudor itself, thanks?to a teaser on its Instagram feed – and, you know us, that gave us some ideas about what Tudor might be unveiling at Baselworld 2019… Did we hear an OysterDate Submariner?79090 revival?A recent post on Tudor’s Instagram feed, revealing a close-up of a triangular-shaped marker at 9 o’clock followed by the words What’s next? Just two months to go to Baselworld for more #TudorWatch #Baselworld2019,?really got us thinking. See the post in question below: Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Hands-On - Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Opaline Titanium (Price)
Laurent Ferrier is coming up for its tenth anniversary this year and celebrates with the release of this Classic Origin Opaline watch in a 40mm Grade 5 titanium case and the pared-down elegance we have come to associate with Laurent Ferrier. The first time the brand recurs to titanium, this straightforward time-only model with small seconds at 6 o'clock has an elegant dash of sportiness with touches of burgundy and grey on the dial. And in addition to that, there’s also a version of the brand’s proprietary movement inside. From strength to strengthNot many watchmakers found a brand, produce a watch and win an important prize in the same year. The son and grandson of watchmakers with a long career at Patek Philippe as creative director, Laurent Ferrier went solo in 2010 setting up shop in Geneva. His first watch, the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral secured the men's watch prize at the GPHG 2010. Its deceptively simple dial with no trace of a tourbillon belied the sophi
Buying Guide - 5 Reasonably Priced and Elegant Watches Presented at Baselworld 2019
To many, the notion of elegant, dressy watches usually means beautiful finishes, high-end movements and precious metal cases. In short: expensive pieces. Yet, Baselworld 2019 proved that you don’t necessarily need to spend a 5-figure amount to look classy. So, in order to avoid going to the bank for a mortgage or to enter a fight with your partner, here are five elegant and reasonably priced watches that were presented at the latest edition of Baselworld – all with a twist.Note: this list is based on on a consensus among the MONOCHROME team and reflects our preferences. Not overly designed, not overly engineered, not overly priced either but still easily recognizable, the Max Bill collection is clearly the br
