Luxury Watches |
The Tissot Flamingo is a perfect luxury watch for women. The design seems to be inspired by a flamingo as it has a slim strap with asymmetrical links. It uses a White Mother-of-Pearl dial with 12 embedded diamonds. The feather-light weight of this watch makes for a perfect choice. In addition, it is water-resistant up to 50m while it has a round case shape made out of 316L stainless steel.

Recap: The Best Calendar Watches of 2024
Talking about calendar watches is a vast topic, which can range from fairly simple mechanisms to some of the most complex movements watchmakers have invented. Indeed, this category ranges from the classic triple calendar (mechanically, an evolution of the date complication with no self-adjustment of the length of the months) to the finest version, the secular perpetual calendar, watches that can automatically adapt to the smallest oddities of our Gregorian calendar. Looking at this category, we have to say that 2024 didn’t disappoint and brought us some incredible watches – one of them even won the prestigious GPHG. So here is our selection of the best calendar watches of 2024, from an eccentric planetarium to a secular perpetual calendar.Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar John MayerThere are multiple reasons why we’ve selected this John Mayer x Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in this list of the best calendar watches. The first is quite obvious
Baselworld 2021 Postponed, Won't Be Held in January 2021
While Spring has come to Switzerland, the sky over the town of Basel remains cloudy and grey as the (sad) story continues. Already under pressure after the departure of Swatch Group, followed by the exodus of multiple other exhibitors and coupled with the current sanitary crisis, MCH, the owner of Baselworld, was forced to cancel its 2020 edition. This was followed by a series of announcements when some of the major exhibiting brands ( , Patek, Tudor, Chopard and LVMH among others) announced their decision to leave the show after?disagreements regarding the refund policy. This, incidentally, had to have an effect on the 2021 edition of the Basel-based fair. And indeed, it does, as MCH Group “has taken the decision not to hold Baselworld 2021” originally planned for January 2021… Postponed or cancelled? The Group still studies options. The fact is that the Geneva-based Watches & Wonders fair, held by the Federation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) with the backing of Ri
The Petrolhead Corner: V4 Motorcycles That Beat To Their Own Drum
Despite increasingly strict regulations like EURO 5 emissions and decibel limits, we’re in a golden age of motorcycles. 200+ horsepower engines are no longer uncommon in bikes that an average Joe can buy, which was unthinkable until the last decade or so. Technology, engineering innovation and a bit of sorcery have allowed motorcycles to evolve into superbikes that were mere daydreams in the recent past. Among the most impressive are the V4 heavyweights, pushing out both intense power and loads of character with a symphony of growls that even the strictest regulations can’t ruin. V4 bikes have a surprisingly long history, going back almost a century and have always represented power and excess.?The 1st generation of the wild Yamaha V-Max – WikipediaYAMAHA’S MAD V-MAXLet’s start with the legend. The bike that most riders over four decades old think of when V4 madness is mentioned - Yamaha’s iconic V-Max. Released in 1985 with an emphasis on the Americ
Atelier de Chronometrie AdC #5 (Specs & Price)
If there’s one thing I love about my job is to discover new watch brands. I’m always stunned by the level of creativity infused by independent watchmakers, from the Sci-Fi creations of Urwerk or the ultra-classic propositions of Laurent Ferrier (who can do nice things together…) One brand we recently discovered at MONOCHROME cumulates quite some intriguing specificities. It isn’t Swiss, but it makes things in an ultra-traditional way, whether for the design or the manufacturing process, and it’s all about one-off pieces. This brand is?Atelier de Chronometrie and their latest creation is the AdC #5, which brings back to present times the superb 1940s design and mechanics.BackgroundThe philosophy of?Atelier de Chronometrie is to create one-off watches with the pure aesthetics of the 1930s and 1940s, in a package that is not infused with modernism. Behind this brand, there’s no idea of vintage inspiration or reeditions of glorious models with modern mec
Hands-on - Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36mm Ref. 79500, the Tudor watch for both her and him - Live pics & price - Monochrome Watches
When you think Tudor watches, you immediately think cool timepieces, with a sporty look and a superb price/quality ratio (e.g. the Heritage Black Bay Black). You might also have in mind a certain size – which we believe to be the right one, with cases measuring, for most references, in-between 40mm and 42mm. On the other hand, Tudor showed that they could also grew, with a 43mm case on the Black Bay Bronze, probably not the expected diameter for some collectors (including us). Well, it seems that we have some good news for you, as here is the?Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36mm Ref. 79500,?the Tudor watch for both her and him, for smaller wrists, for vintage lovers, for formal desires…The new?Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36mm is not only a matter of style, it’s mainly a matter of proportions. And because of this crucial point, we’ll show you this really interesting novelty in a way that isn’t our?most usual: less technical, more user oriented, more lifestyle.
