First Look: The New Furlan Marri Disco Volante Collection
Co-founded by Swiss industrial designer Andrea Furlan and watch collector Hamad Al Marri, Furlan Marri launched on Kickstarter in 2021 with a beautifully designed vintage chronograph powered by a hybrid mecha-quartz engine. The next act, in 2022, was an equally handsome vintage black sector dial equipped with a mechanical movement that won over the MONOCHROME team. Today, Furlan Marri sticks to its vintage designs and mechanical guns and releases a trilogy of Disco Volante models in 38mm cases with manual-winding Peseux movements. The Disco Volante or Flying Saucer watch design has been kicking around since the late 1930s, an Art Deco meets futuristic space-age watch featured in the catalogues of many top-tier brands. The classic traits of the Disco Volante – manifested in models from Omega, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Cartier and Universal Geneve, all the way down the decades to Gerald Genta's 1953 design (ref. 5093) for Audemars Piguet – are round cases, an absenc
Introducing The Miami Pink IWC Pilot Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas
Ten years… That’s how long the partnership between Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team is… And this connection has seen the creation of multiple watches, either dedicated to the world of motorsport in general, to the pilots of the team (Lewis Hamilton first and foremost), to its boss or to the team itself. The most focused watch in the lineup is, without a doubt, the Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas, with its green accents on the dial and green rubber strap. On the occasion of the upcoming Miami Grand Prix this weekend, IWC brings the heat in typical Florida-style, with a Miami Pink edition of its titanium chronograph.last year saw the introduction of the reference IW388108, a rather compact titanium pilot’s chronograph with a livery-matched green rubber strap and the same colour to be found all over the dial. Presented as the team watch, as such meant to be worn by the team's designers, aerodynamicists,

Here are 3 vintage Heuer Chronographs, the best of Jack Heuer’s production.A mint Heuer Silverstone Blue DialThe Silverstone is a pure interpretation of what the late 1960s and early 1970s produced. It is a watch with a great personality and that presents no compromise in its design. It has this very unusual TV Screen shape; a square case with rounded angles and colourful dials with a brushed finish that gives it so much appeal but that won't fit everybody's tastes. Hands-On - Patek Philippe 5396R Annual Calendar Blue Dial (Specs & Price)
Since its introduction in 2006, the?Patek Philippe 5396 Annual Calendar is amongst the most classical options in the brand’s collection. It offers a cleaner and a slightly more modern option to the conservative reference 5146, the sub-dial based Annual Calendar watch. In addition to the?existing versions, with silvery-white or grey dials (with appliques or Breguet numerals), Patek has decided to add a bit of flamboyance to this model, by giving it a rose gold case combined with a rich navy blue dial.Annual Calendars at Patek PhilippeAll in all, Patek Philippe offers no less than 3 different displays for the Annual Calendar complication. Classical, with the reference 5146 and its display based on traditional sub-dials. Modern, with the reference 5205 and its displays based on 3 windows from 10 to 2. Right in the middle sits a hybrid, a watch that relies on both the classical look of sub-dials and the more modern design offered by the windows. Balanced, slightly less conservative,
