Industry News: Reshuffle at LVMH Watches, New CEO for Hublot and TAG Heuer
It wasn’t so long ago when LVMH, the French luxury powerhouse, announced shifts in top management positions. In January 2024, the group announced the creation of a new entity, LVMH Watches, as well as its CEO, Frederic Arnault, the son of the Group's owner Bernard Arnault and ex-CEO of TAG Heuer. As a consequence, Julien Tornare, ex-CEO of Zenith, became CEO of TAG Heuer, to be replaced by Benoit de Clerck. The status quo didn’t last long as yesterday LVMH announced new appointments within the division, following the decision of Ricardo Guadalupe, current CEO of Hublot, to step back from operational management. As such, Julien Tornare takes the lead of Hublot in the middle of a softening market for the watch industry.?Ricardo Guadalupe, the current CEO of Hublot, will become?Honorary President of HublotWith sales of watches currently declining, shifts in top managing positions are becoming the norm – see Louis Ferla appointed CEO of Cartier, replacing Cyrille Vigneron

On top of that we interviewed technical director Stephan Ihnen, and talked movements, production facilities and all the nitty gritty details we wanted to know about.?Find out more about the future of IWC, learn?why the brand goes back to more classical design, to more lifestyle oriented collections, and of course, the?new calibre 690
Longines Legend Diver No-Date Poland Limited Edition - News, Price
Among the countless retro-styled watches created by Longines – yes, there are a lot, and some are very desirable – one holds a special place in the heart of vintage dive watch enthusiasts, a watch that has been around for more than a decade now: the Legend Diver. Inspired by a 1960s compressor-style model, it returned to the market in 2007 with a no-date display… until it was (sadly) updated with a date. But, something has surfaced recently, something from Poland, something which has to do with our friends at CH24.pl. Yes, the LLD No-Date is back, albeit it in a very limited run of watches for the Polish market. Meet the new Longines Legend Diver No-Date Poland Limited Edition.?An original Longines Legend Diver Ref. 7042 – photo by blog.crownandcaliber.comThe modern Legend Diver is a faithful recreation of a very desirable dive watch created by Longines in the early 1960s, the Ref. 7042. This watch featured an oversized compressor case – with twin-crowns a

Cory Richards, his Attempt to Blaze a New Route up Mount Everest and a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Prototype - Monochrome Watches
Cory Richards is an exceptional individual. Part of Vacheron Constantin’s campaign “One of not Many”, Richards was a brilliant kid, dropped out of school, got into alcohol and became the first American to summit an 8,000m peak in winter time. This photographer, adventurer and mountaineer has climbed Mount Everest twice. But this year, along with climbing partner Esteban “Topo” Mena, he has attempted to reach the top of the world from a path no one has set foot on before. Although the duo had to turn around, Richards is already planning a second attempt for 2020Strapped to Cory Richards’ wrist during this attempt was a Vacheron Constantin Overseas. Not any Overseas, a titanium/tantalum prototype designed specifically for the expedition. Just a few weeks following his return to the USA, on the occasion of a New York press conference and customer event, MONOCHROME had the opportunity to sit down with him.Xavier Markl, MONOCHROME – Why climbing?
