The embodiment of pure class and prestige is this model from the OMEGA De Ville Prestige collection. The textured rhodium-silvery dial along with roman numeral markers guarantee to make anyone's wrist the sight of attraction. The blue details on the dial are protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and presented in a beautifully contrasting blue leather strap. The 39.5 mm stainless steel model is driven by the Co-Axial Calibre 2500. This watch eliminates all sorts of extra features and makes the simplicity of the timepiece its main focus.

5 High-End Watches Made In Germany - Germans Do It Better?
German watches are distinctively unique. Their design is influenced by the Bauhaus philosophy with a minimalist approach and the idea that form follows function. Great emphasis is placed on simplicity, symmetry, clarity and practicality. The craftsmanship involved is superb, sharp and distinctive, and it can easily stand toe-to-toe with the best of Swiss workmanship. The work on movements is often instantly recognizable, with characteristic features such as three-quarter plates, distinctive regulators, refined jeweling or the use of German silver. So, without further delay, here are 5 remarkable high-end German watches that have been introduced over the past few months.A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Annual CalendarUnveiled at SIHH 2017, the A. Lange & Sohne interpretation of this practical complication is stark, perfectly balanced and elegant. Collector Corner - The Story of The JLC Reverso Chronograph Retrograde
Welcome back to The Collector's Corner. Earlier this year, we took a detailed look at one of the most impressive chronographs developed from the ground up during the 1990s, namely the Reverso Chronographe Retrograde. This, back in an era when in-house wasn't yet what it is today, was nothing short of an achievement, specifically considering we're talking chronograph. This article is something a little different from the usual content in The Collector's Corner. I recently had the chance to talk with Matthieu Sauret, Product Marketing & Heritage Director at Jaeger-LeCoultre and Philippe Vandel, movement designer and constructor at Jaeger-LeCoultre and to discuss the development of the Reverso Chronographe Retrograde and the zeitgeist of the 1990s. I am overjoyed that I can now share the conversation with you.?Editor's Note: interview has been edited for clarity. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
A Deep Dive Into The World Of Cases And Dials By F.P. Journe
It’s common practice for brands to outsource certain steps in the manufacturing of watches to specialised companies. It is, in fact, how the vast majority of watchmaking entities operate. Cases, dials, movements, crystals and straps can all come from different suppliers around the world before being assembled into a fine mechanical watch. Watches by brands high and low have been produced this way for years, decades even. There is, however, a growing trend of ‘in-house‘, not necessarily concerning a movement. Sure, a movement designed and fabricated within the confines of a watchmaking atelier is the ultimate achievement, but the craft of making dials and cases in-house, to name just two elements, is not to be overlooked. We recently had the privilege to delve into the fascinating world of Cadraniers de Geneve and Bo?tiers de Geneve, the case and dials makers for one of the most revered independent watchmakers: Fran?ois-Paul Journe. In September 2012, Fran?ois-Paul Jour
Introducing The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon
To many, Jaeger-LeCoultre is, first and foremost, the Reverso, represented by plenty of models with incredible mechanical and artistic complications to please the most discerning customer. However, contrary to what you might think, for a good two-thirds of its existence, since 1931 and until 1990, the Reverso collection featured time-only watches. The king of complications, the tourbillon, made its way into the JLC offering only in 1993. For the Maison, it was the first to appear in a wristwatch and the first in the Reverso collection. Thirty years later, with proven expertise in tourbillons and the development of technically advanced calibres, Jaeger-LeCoultre reveals the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon inspired by that very first Reverso Tourbillon. It is okay if the name of the new JLC creation sounds familiar to you. In 2018 the Maison introduced a 50-piece limited-edition Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon in platinum (ref. Q3926480), reserved for the lucky few. The new edition
Oris Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition Bronze - Hands-On Baselworld 2018 (Specs & Price)
One of the coolest bronze dive watches just received a new sibling, perhaps an even cooler bronze diving chronograph. For 2018 Oris introduces a new Limited Edition based on the original Carl Brashear commemorative watch from two years ago, and now adds a chronograph to the mix. We've already given you a short rundown of the watch, but now we had time to go hands-on with the Oris Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition Bronze during Baselworld 2018.The initial Carl Brashear Limited Edition Bronze was an instant hit, pleasing Oris collectors worldwide – and naturally, it went sold-out quickly. Technically, there is nothing revolutionary about this new version, but it is the first time Oris has gone for a chronograph movement, a Sellita clone of the bulletproof Valjoux 7750, in the Divers Sixty-Five collection. And to be honest, it is a very welcome addition, broadening the range of the collection further and further. Like we mentioned in the previous artic
